Friends and Family,

I have some difficult news to share with you: our campaign is 90 signatures short of 1,000 to make the ballot. Although we turned in nearly 1600 signatures, ultimately, both our timeline and goal was hurt by our ability to accrue valid signatures during a rapidly growing global pandemic. I am disappointed that this news means that the HD6 Democratic Primary ballot in June will not have any candidates of color on it to represent our diverse district.

While I am disappointed by this outcome, I am heartened and inspired to know, as my campaign and I knocked on more than 7500 doors and talked with so many of our neighbors in the beginning of our campaign, it was affirmed that the people of HD6 care about the future of our neighbors and communities – all of our neighbors and communities. Thank you HD6!

I am excited to share your stories of both inspiration and challenge that you’ve shared with me as I continue to work and serve our community as the Lead Pastor of Park Hill United Methodist Church to help us all get through the COVID-19 pandemic together.  We will continue our incredibly important work of helping protect, serve, and build up our neighbors and communities. Thank you for opening your doors to me and for sharing your stories.

To our volunteers and contributors: Thank you all, for everything. I have been humbled and encouraged by your generosity, dedication, and service to this work and our community.

Please be safe during this difficult time. I pray for your health and well being.

Grace and peace,

Nathan

WHY I’M RUNNING

As a pastor, I’ve dedicated my life to serving all people. I am a Democratic candidate seeking your vote to serve as your House District 6 State Representative so that I can serve you and all of our great district. I want to ensure that all of our district, especially its most vulnerable such as children, people of color, women, elderly, the LGBQTIA+ community, immigrants, and our most economically challenged aren’t forgotten, but are ensured of the same opportunities that we all desire. Our district, HD6, and our great state of Colorado should be and feel like home to all people. With quality education, affordable healthcare, care for our environment, and criminal justice reform, it will.

OUR ISSUES

All Coloradans should feel like Colorado is home. Ensuring quality public education and accessible higher education, caring for our environment, reforming our broken and biased criminal justice system, and providing world class and affordable health care will help make this possible. Join the movement and help us make it happen as we serve together.
